Here are the violations reported in food safety inspection reports from Montgomery County conducted the week of April 30 through May 5, 2023.

Each week, we highlight the inspection reports for retail food and drink establishments under the jurisdiction of the Montgomery County Office of Public Health. All establishments are inspected once per year, and inspectors may return several more times if the initial inspection is not passed or complaints are received. As noted by the MCOPH, the reports are merely a "snapshot" in time, and "may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment." Many of the violations are corrected on the spot prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.

Follow-up inspection conducted to ensure that facility had relocated bales of compacted cardboard to an approved covered receptacle or other approved location. At time of follow-up inspection, facility was observed to be continuing to store bales on ground in parking lot behind facility. Bales showed some evidence of food debris. Facility is hereby granted one week to relocate bales to a covered receptacle OR to wrap bales and store them inside facility in a designated area. Failure to comply may lead to legal action. Follow up inspection conducted. At time of follow up inspection ehs observe that sewage pit pit in basement area had been capped and sealed. Facility stated that the township is going to follow up after 1 week for a larger plumbing code violation at which time the township will approve the containment of the sewage pit. Facility must provide the approval letter once received. Facility may continue normal food service operations contingent upon approval from all other agencies. Ehs ensured facility had hot and cold running water under adequate pressure and ensured all drains were properly draining at time of inspection.
