From highly decorative butter boards to supremely jiggly cloud bread, TikTok has become the jumping-off point for some of the most out-there, food-centric trends. Some, such as air fryer pasta chips require a base-level knowledge of food preparation, while others like TikTok's latest kitchen sensation are as easy as turning on the tap. That's right, water (or should we say ice?) is the most recent trend to emerge from the depths of TikTok.

Not just regular old ice, though, ice in the shape of a perfectly smooth sphere. In fact, the hashtag #icespheres has a whopping 26 million views and counting! People are filling sphere ice molds with water and popping the finished product in a cocktail and other TikTokers are swapping out water for coffee and dropping the frozen treat in their morning cup of Joe. Either way, you heard it here first, regular ice cubes are out and spherical ones are in!

It's safe to say, we're on board for mixing things up. After all, at least the coffee (or matcha) take on the trend has practical benefits. This is because when the ice melts, you’re left with more iced coffee in your cup rather than the watered-down weak stuff. Also, you can opt for any size sphere ice mold you want. Personally, we’re loving the tiny ones that make ice the size of gumballs, but there are giant circular silhouettes available, too. Think along the lines of a jawbreaker made of frozen coffee—these finds will certainly cool down your drink!
